Terms of Participation

By participating in a Women of Wander journey, you are acknowledge that in addition to usual risks inherent, certain additional risks and dangers may be encountered which may include: remoteness to normal medical services; physical exertion to which the participant may not be prepared; weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change; evacuation difficulties if the participant is injured. In case of injury or illness, you authorise the guide in charge to obtain any medical attention deemed appropriate, including ambulances and agree to accept responsibility for any costs incurred. You further acknowledge and agree that due to the nature of the activities, it would be unreasonable for Women of Wander to be in any way responsible for any injury to or death of yourself and you hereby, to the full extent permitted by law, waive all of your legal rights of action against Women of Wander and fully release and hold Women of Wander harmless from any claim, demand or liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury (including death) howsoever arising out of or in relation to your participation in the activities conducted or organised by Women of Wander, including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of Women of Wander, including employees or contractors. You further acknowledge and agree that you undertake the activities freely, voluntarily and absolutely at your own risk and with a full appreciation of the nature and extent of all risks involved in the activities. This waiver shall bind you and your heirs, assigns, executors and/or administrators and legal representatives. In order to preserve your own and other’s safety, if you do not comply with the booking conditions, act in a way that neglects group safety or wilfully damages the environment or cultural sites, you may be asked to leave the tour or refused entry to the tour at your own expense.
 

Travel Insurance

Women of Wander strongly advises passengers to take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, such as cancellation, injury or rescue.

Medical Form

You are required to complete a Medical Form, as supplied by Women of Wander, prior to departure. In the Medical Form you will disclose all injuries, impairments or illnesses and required medication(s). Women of Wonder reserve the right to restrict participation if risk of harm is deemed inappropriate. 


Booking & Deposits

To secure your position on a Women of Wander journey, a non-refundable deposit of an amount specified on the ‘Booking Form’ is required. The total fee is required 60 days prior to departure. No refunds will be provided if you cancel within 4 weeks of departure. All deposits and fees are transferable with prior approval from Women of Wander.


Cancellation or Postponed Journey

Women of Wander reserve the right to cancel or postpone a journey if 1) there are extreme weather warnings issued or forecast, 2) a minimum group size is not met (3) prior to departure. In the event a journey is cancelled and alternative dates cannot be agreed, Women of Wander will provide a refund in full. Women of Wander is not liable for any expense incurred travelling to or from the cancelled journey. 


Privacy Policy

Women of Wander respects your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
