A day of yoga, mindfulness, hiking & nourishing food. Intended to connect you to land and community, with some laughs along the way.
Begin your adventure by meeting like minded folk, along with your guides - Cassie (Women of Wander) and Lorna (Yoga Facilitator) over a warming Chai and homemade treat. We will then hike in the Otway forest near Lorne. A stunning part of the coast that is surrounded by the ocean on one side and bush on the other. The 11km hike will take approximately 4 ½ hours, including a lunch, scenic breaks and a waterfall along the way.
A delicious organic meal will be prepared by Cassie, as Lorna offers a guided meditation intended to ground and connect you to Wadawurrung Country. There will also be an opportunity to reflect and journal among the trees. Making our way to Desa Retreat for 1 ½ hours of restorative YIN yoga.
Our intention is for you to leave feeling nourished, rested and connected.
What to Expect

Itinerary
9AM: Carpool to Sheoak Picnic area for a chai, homemade treat &
hike briefing (toilets available on site).
9.30AM: Depart on our 11km loop hike. Stopping for lunch and a
meditation along the way.
2PM: Journey back to the picnic area and head to Desa Retreat in Jan
Juc for yoga.
2.30PM: Closing our adventure with restorative YIN yoga, softly
led by Lorna.

4.30PM: Head home feeling renewed.

Fitness Level
Grade: Active
You will work for your supper but with minimal strain on your body - light day packs, generous timings and friendly hiking terrain. We leave plenty of time to return, so distances are physically challenging but very obtainable.
We've had ladies in their early 20s upto their late-60s loving these trips, so if you’re a golfer, occasional gym goer or you do yoga once a week, this is the trip for you. Still unsure? Get in touch and we can talk it over.

Health & Wellbeing
The food is cooked fresh, plant-based and organic (where possible). Menu collaborated with our knowledge of what keeps well in the bush and nutritionist, Kirsty Urquhart's, expert advice.
BYO yoga mat, blanket and 2 x pillows for YIN Yoga, due to current COVID restrictions on shared use of yoga equipment. After an active hike, the YIN Yoga session is designed to help you unwind and soften your whole body.
